RICHMOND, VA
Three Sheets to the Wind, America's #1 Tribute to Yacht Rock announces a series of special performances highlighting the music of the best-selling musical duo of all time, Hall & Oates.
Having covered many of the duo's hits over the years, Three Sheets will now be exploring the music in a more in-depth way in 2013. "I'm most excited about the chance for us to highlight some of the gems that you don't hear on everyday radio," says band leader Topper Dandy. When pressed, he continues, "I don't want to give too much of the set away, but I'm excited that we have a chance to give 'Crazy Eyes' a shot," referencing the Oates-penned-and-sung album cut from 1976's Bigger Than Both of Us. Lest fans of the Hall & Oates hits worry that this project is simply an exercise in obscurity, however, lead singer Captain Max Power promises, "Oh I mean we're going to play the entire greatest hits catalog, too."
Although a private performance in Philadelphia, the duo's hometown, is scheduled for April, fans have two opportunities to catch the set in Virginia in late March. Friday March 29th sees the band returning to The National in Richmond, with the following night's performance scheduled at the NorVa in Norfolk, VA. For both shows, the band will be joined by their friends in Virginia's all-star Weezer tribute band, The Sweater Band.
